Loading Error on United Airlines Aircraft Causes Damage

#HSMExclusive | According to information obtained by our sources, a Boeing 777-200ER registered as N785UA, operating United Airlines flight #UA44 from San Francisco to Zurich, sustained damage due to an error during cargo loading. It was reported that the locks intended to secure a pallet weighing approximately 1–2 tons in the forward cargo hold were not engaged, causing the pallet to shift inside the cargo compartment during the flight and result in damage.

It is alleged that the pallet shifted forward during braking upon landing in Zurich, striking the forward bulkhead of the cargo compartment. The damage was identified during subsequent inspections after the pilots noticed an unusual sound while braking. The aircraft was pulled from service for maintenance, and the return flight was subsequently canceled.
